Dear Sir,

I have an idea for developing an intensive 12-week cognitive-improvement programme based on Filipino Martial Arts (FMA) techniques. It would focus on developing a variety of motor skills and seeing how various, complex, bimanual exercises – particularly the ones which cross the centre line of the body – affect brain activity. I'd like to use an EEG or mEEG. I am particularly interested in seeing which brain waves are activated in various manual FMA exercises. Additionally, I would like to compare the results across a group of participants.

Could Aspire and Muse be utilised for this purpose?

***

I have been studying FMA for almost ten years, taught it at the University of Rzeszow in Poland for two and a half years, and cooperated with international experts in the field. Over the years, I have noticed an overall increase in my ability to control my body and in my overall mental and physical health.

I would like to create a programme with a wide range of health benefits that could be addressed to all age groups and to people with movement-impairing disabilities. The programme would be developed in cooperation with world leading experts in FMA.

Kind regards,
Michal Szczesny
